Job Description

 Job duties include:

  • Load/Unload all equipment needed for events at Venues. 
  • Set up of catering service  according to client/customer requests or banquet event orders
  • Serves food and beverage to  guests
  • Maintains appearance and  cleanliness of food service areas during event
  • Replenishes food and beverage  product during event
  • Breaks down and cleans food  service areas and equipment post event; returns equipment to Savory Roots kitchen.
  • Provides excellent customer  service, anticipating guests’ needs
  • Maintains a positive attitude  towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Other duties and tasks as  assigned by Banquet Captain.
  • Must be dependable with  reliable transportation
  • Must be able to bend, lift and  carry items weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to stand and exert  fast-paced mobility for period up to ten hours. 

STARTING PAY: $18/Hr, Part-Time/  Must be at least 18 years old

Event chef- offsite

Job Description

 Job duties include:

  • Load/Unload all equipment needed for events at Venues. 
  • Set up of catering service  according to client/customer requests or banquet event orders
  • Maintains appearance and  cleanliness of food service areas during event
  • Replenishes food and beverage product during event
  • Breaks down and cleans food  service areas and equipment post event; returns equipment to Savory Roots kitchen.
  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to Savory Roots recipes, portioning, and serving standards
  •  Ability to work live action station such as (but not limited to): Carving Stations, Sautee Stations, etc
  • Maintains a positive attitude  towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Must be dependable with  reliable transportation
  • Must be able to bend, lift and  carry items weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to stand and exert  fast-paced mobility for period up to ten hours. 
  • Must have weekends open. Friday/Saturday, or Saturday/Sunday 
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • At least one year related experience
  • Must have or obtain Food Manager's Certification with 30 days of hire


STARTING PAY: $22/Hr  Part Time; Must be at least 18 years old

catering prep cook

Job Description

 Job duties include: 

  • Setting up and sanitizing work stations
  • Following prep lists and recipes
  • Ensuring all food items are properly stored and easily accessible
  • Assisting chefs in preparing food and attending to any culinary tasks that arise
  • Maintaining a clean, orderly, and sanitized kitchen including washing dishes, cleaning equipment, etc
  • Wash, peel and cut fruits and vegetables
  • Prepare sauces, dressing and other items 
  • Must be able to stand and exert  fast-paced mobility for period up to ten hours

Requirements:

  • Strong team working and communication skills
  • Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts when needed including attending events when needed
  • Fridays and Saturdays are long work days and open availability is required
  • Ability to work in stressful, fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to pass a standard background check
  • Must be able to lift, carry and push up to 50lbs
  • Experience in commercial kitchen setting required


STARTING PAY: $16/Hr  Full Time and Part Time Available; Must be at least 18 years old
